I never would have thought that in one Northern Irish summer I would have no less than three successfully outdoor weddings! What lucky couples! I have to introduce a relatively new venue to the wedding scene… the rather wonderful Tullyveery House – a family farm that has recently been transformed into a beautiful wedding venue complete with walled garden (love!). I have struck a deal with the owner that if he finds me a suitable husband, I will get married there. It’s stunning! And what made it particularly special on this day was that Glenda and Rick were able to have their ceremony out on the lawn, under a huge tree. Magical!
Tree surgeon Rick put his skills to great use in making the cake stand and table centres (I love when details of the wedding reflect the couple, and I particularly love when grooms have a hand in parts of the wedding that are often the responsibility of the girls), and Glenda’s bridesmaids worked flat out to put together the details and flower/tree features outside the marquee. Well done Glenda and Rick, and your families and friends, for putting together such a gorgeous, personal, joyful day, in a very short timeframe. Standing ovation!
